New Website Unveiled

Digital face-lift: Valley First unveils new website designed to keep banking simple for its members
March 7, 2013 to offer tips and tools to help members bank, borrow, insure and invest

Penticton, B.C.—Launching today, the redesigned website boasts new and innovative features to help simplify the banking experience for Valley First members.

Averaging more than 130,000 visits per month, the website features an updated look and feel that is more reflective of the Valley First brand, offers better functionality and improved features that streamline the company’s products and services.

The new also includes local, straightforward tips and advice that are grouped into five simple categories – bank, borrow, insure, invest and simple advice, making it easy for users to search for and access information. Social media feeds are also highlighted on the home page, ensuring content stays dynamic and fresh. In addition, Feed the Valley, Valley First’s signature cause, which aims to eliminate hunger throughout the Okanagan, Similkameen and Thompson valleys, is prominently featured on the homepage.

“Our team at Central 1 was very pleased to partner with Valley First to develop the framework for their new website,” says Barbara Symons, strategic relationship director at Central 1 Credit Union. “This is a great example of collaboration between our two organizations and we’re really proud to have helped Valley First bring this new site to their members.”

“Our brand promise is to keep it simple for our members in every interaction they have with us, whether that’s online, or through visits to our branches,” shares Bryan Mavrow, senior vice-president, marketing at First West Credit Union. “Our new Valley First website was really designed with our members in mind—we wanted to make sure it’s very user-friendly and provides straightforward navigation tools to enable users to find out more about the products and services they’re interested in.”

Mavrow continues: “We know our members lead busy lives and may not always have the time to come into our branches to meet with our financial advisors to walk through their finances. So, we wanted to make sure our website gives them a good starting point and access to the same simple and trusted advice that Valley First is known for, except now, they can access it wherever and whenever they need it.”
