Major tech upgrade to enhance service for Valley First Insurance clients

State-of-the-art insurance broker management platform brings efficiencies

Penticton, B.C. — On Nov. 9, Valley First Insurance successfully completed its conversion to the state-of-the-art insurance broker management platform, Applied Epic, from Applied Systems, a leading provider of insurance agency and brokerage software.

“This was an opportunity to build something exceptional,” says Tim Mackie, Assistant Vice President, First West Insurance Services-Valley First Insurance. “With our conversion we wanted to make sure we weren’t just applying a new system, but were creating an insurance management platform that will help us serve our customers in the Okanagan, Similkameen and Thompson valleys today, tomorrow and 10 years from now.”

To that end, the new insurance broker management system offers clients communication in their chosen method of contact, such as mail, phone, email and text, and the ability do business anywhere not just at their home branch. In addition, employees will get a state-of-the-art system with an easier to use interface, a uniform set of processes to follow, and reduction in the time spent on antiquated search features and repetitive data entry.

In addition, the conversion to Applied Epic provides Valley First Insurance with a leading-edge insurance broker management platform that will enable the integration of further enhancements well into the future.
