Susan Ewanick


President, Valley First

Susan is a community leader and business executive with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, where she combines her passion for people and business with her love of the community. With leadership experience in retail, wealth and commercial banking, Susan prides herself on leading high-performance teams, providing members with a personalized advisory experience and being actively involved in the community. Most recently, Susan held the role of vice-president of commercial banking for Western Canada with a larger international bank.

Susan holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C., where she attended on a basketball scholarship. In 2005, she completed an MBA in executive management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C., which included international business studies at the University of Grenoble in France.

Susan has volunteered with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation since 2007, is currently Past Chair, and was a Governor of Vancouver Community College from 2011 to 2014. She also volunteers with Junior Achievement.

Susan enjoys spending time with family and friends at Vaseux Lake in the Okanagan, reading and golfing.
