Together, we create a future where everyone can flourish
We believe in supporting local non-profit and charitable organizations that serve the most vulnerable in our communities. We create capacity in the social sector by leveraging our financial strength and our social vision, Lead Well. Through Lead Well, employees volunteer their knowledge and skills to help our communities flourish.
We are proud to share a three-year partnership with the BC Cancer Foundation with a total investment of $300,000.
We know this is near and dear to our employees, members, and communities when 1 in 2 British Columbians are impacted by cancer—this alarming statistic tells us the need is immense and the time to act is now.
Our partnership involves employee engagement and activation for several of BCCF's initiatives including the Workout to Conquer Cancer Challenge and Tour De Cure as well as dedicated funds going towards the greatest areas of need across the province to help advance research and innovative care.

Creating capacity and bettering lives in our communities.

Feed the Valley—our signature cause program—raised $138,290 for our local food bank partners in 2023, equivalent to 296,907 meals for British Columbians.
First West Foundation, the credit union's companion charity, has been working to create resilient and resourceful communities since 1996. The Foundation awards grants through the lens of Trust Based Philanthropy, contributing to local charitable organizations helping our communities make a positive and lasting impact upon community life.
We believe in the power of partnership, working together to achieve social impact and make a difference in our communities.
